What’s Working on Wednesday

Well I know there hasn’t been a post here in a while. There should have been one on Sunday but now that the weather is changing and DH and I have so many things we’d like to do I don’t seem to have computer time. I’m going to have to rethink the Sunday posts. We spent most of Saturday and Sunday away from home.

I did manage to get these 2 table runners completed.

I also did manage to get a few rows done on this shawl. This yarn is so soft I wish you could feel it. It’s 50% merino and 50% silk, so yummy!

I didn’t get around to the dot quilt that’s still on the wall and I still have 2 table runners to complete (ran out of navy thread) but at least I got some things finished.

I’m linking up with Quiltsy this week. If you have a blog, why not join me!

What’s Working on Wednesday

Today I thought I’d show you a few of the things I’ve won in blog giveaways recently.

First I won these antique blocks from Stephanie at Loft Creations.

                    The Loot! 157

I don’t have an idea yet for a quilt but it will be something special.

I won a pair of the new Havel 7” scissors from V at Bumble Beans.

And this lovely tote bag made by Pam at PamelaQuilts

I made a few cat beds yesterday but I still haven’t touched the things on my list. My excuse is I needed to get the bags of thread, fabric and batting scraps that I use to stuff the cat beds out of my way so I can sew. I did find this yarn to finish my crochet project.

It’s really close to a perfect match!

I’m linking up with WIPs and Whatnot today, check it out.

Sunday’s View of the Week

I realized on Saturday when I finally got to take a peek into my sewing room that I hadn’t sewn or cut any fabric in almost a week. I’m so, so happy to have those darn taxes over and done for another year. I have so much I can work on I hardly know where to begin. There are stacks of fabrics and WIPs all over the place. It occurred to me that every Sunday I have good intentions to finish numerous projects and by Friday I’m wondering where the week went. So today I thought maybe I would get more done if I posted some of the projects I want to work on during week on Sunday. Do you think posting them will make me accountable? I sure hope so! Okay, here we go

I hope to get these 3 table runners finished along with the Hydrangea table runner.

I’d also like to finish piecing my polka dot quilt. It’s been on the design wall quite a while. I’ve got 5 rows done so far.

This is the crochet project I’d like to get finished. Hopefully my yarn will come for the border. I’d planned to use just this wonderful color called Strawberry Shake but I’m a bit short so I had to get a different yarn for the border.

Okay, now you all know what I need to get done. I sure hope this works. I will post my finishes and my plans for the week ahead every Sunday. By the end of the year I want to look back and see lots of progress.

Oh and one last thing I finally have a picture of the shawl from the pattern I tested.

What’s Working on Wednesday

Thank you for the help on the Hydrangea table runner. The consensus was layout B. It was the one I liked best also. Here it is waiting in a long line for a chance to be quilted.

April’s color for the Rainbow Scrap challenge is green. So while attaching borders I put a few green leaders and enders together. For once I’m starting out ahead, we’ll see how many green things actually get finished this month.

And lastly these beautiful Daffodils are brightening up my sewing room today. A gift from my DH, on Easter Sunday they were just buds. Now they are filling my room with sunshine! Thank you Honey!
